MECHANISM OF ACTION
A natural 28-amino acid peptide derived from the thymus gland. It stimulates the differentiation and maturation of T cells, particularly the Th1 > Th2 balance, through increased expression of MHC class I. It activates dendritic cells and NK cells. It increases IL-2, IFN-γ, and TNF-α. It restores Toll-like receptor signaling in the innate immune system. It modulates the IDO pathway.
