Description
TB500 (Thymosin Beta-4 Acetate)
Repair / Recovery / Anti-inflammatory

MECHANISM OF ACTION

A 43-amino acid synthetic analog of Thymosin Beta-4. Its primary mechanism of action is the sequestration of G-actin, achieved by binding to actin monomers via the LKTET motif and regulating cytoskeletal dynamics to promote cell migration and proliferation. It increases the expression of metalloproteinases for matrix remodeling. It reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-1β. It mobilizes hematopoietic progenitor cells.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Systemic repair and regeneration of soft tissues.
  • Accelerated wound healing and scar reduction.
  • Improved tissue flexibility and reduced inflammation.
  • Cardiac protection and myocardial repair.
  • Eye repair in research on corneal regeneration.
  • Protection of renal podocytes.

SIDE EFFECTS AND SAFETY

Generally well tolerated. Mild reactions at the injection site. Theoretical concern by WADA regarding performance enhancement.

RESEARCH AND CLINICAL NOTES

Extensive animal literature on wound healing and cardiac, renal, and ocular models. Human data come primarily from anecdotal reports of athletic use. Goldstein et al. (2012, Regenerative Medicine): a review of clinical applications of Tβ4.

TARGET PROFILE:

Sports medicine, orthopedic rehabilitation, wound care, and anti-aging.
