2. Personal Data

Personal data refers to information about the factual or personal circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This does not include statistical data that we collect, for example, when you visit our web store and which cannot be directly related to you.

Personal data, such as your name, address, phone number, email address, and other inventory data that you provide to us in the course of your online registration, your order, your newsletter subscription, and your inquiry through our contact form, will be processed by us to the extent necessary to process your registration or order, your newsletter subscription, your use of the application, or to respond to your inquiry.

We collect, store, and process your data associated with the web store for the entire duration of processing your purchase or request, including subsequent warranties, for our services and in accordance with legal retention periods (especially for tax reasons). 3.1. Online registration in our web store

It is possible to make purchases in our web store, as well as use our product watchlist after online registration.

Your online access is password-protected. Here you can view information about your completed, pending, and recently shipped orders and manage your accumulated loyalty points, personal data, and newsletter subscription.

You agree to treat personal access data confidentially and not to disclose it to unauthorized third parties. We cannot accept any responsibility for the misuse of passwords unless we are responsible for it. Please note that you will remain automatically logged in unless you log out.

3.2. Purchase process

By completing your online order, you expressly authorize us to process the personal data you provide to process your purchase and ship your order. We need your email address to confirm receipt of the order. We also use it for your identification (website login). Additionally, you will receive order and shipping confirmation through your email address. Similarly, we need your email address and phone number to communicate with you in case of order-related inquiries or delivery problems.

When ordering SelmiSwiss preparations, you will receive an invitation to participate in a voluntary customer survey 4 weeks after purchase, which you can unsubscribe from at any time with future effect. The data obtained is evaluated anonymously and provides us with valuable information to further adapt our products to our customers’ needs and to support our scientific team.

4. Newsletter Subscription/Receipt of Electronic Advertising

By confirming your subscription to the newsletter, you voluntarily agree that the following company SelmiSwiss GmbH processes your data in order to send you electronic newsletters and receive direct emails and personalized advertising about SelmiSwiss products, events, and services. ‘Personalized advertising’ refers to advertising tailored to you and your interests. We use existing information, such as your place of residence, registration date, and the customer group you belong to, to send you only advertisements for products that may truly interest you.

You can only register for the SelmiSwiss newsletter if you expressly consent to it. To send you the newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, which means we will not send it to you by email until you have expressly confirmed that you want us to activate the service. We will then send you a notification email and ask you to confirm that you wish to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link included in that email.

Newsletter delivery provider: Mailchimp

For newsletter delivery, we use Mailchimp, a service offered by The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA (hereinafter “Mailchimp”). When you subscribe to our newsletter, the data provided (such as your email address) is transferred to Mailchimp and stored on their servers located in the United States.

Mailchimp acts as a data processor in accordance with Art. 28 of the GDPR and is bound by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, which ensure an adequate level of data protection in case of transfer to third countries. The data will be used exclusively for sending our newsletters and will not be transmitted to third parties for commercial purposes. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in each email or by contacting us directly.

5. Inquiry Through the Contact Form

If you send us an inquiry through the contact form, the personal data provided will be processed by SelmiSwiss only.

6. Server Log Data

8. Analysis and advertising tracking tools (Google)

This website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads (Conversion Tracking), services provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”) to analyze website usage and improve our digital marketing campaigns.
